However, ethnic minorities and racial receives acute challenges when they need medical care. These adverse difference in medical care may be caused by difference in insurance coverage, income, and education. This paper analyses, compare and contrast the current health status of Black or African American minority group to the national average, the health promotion of the group, disparities that exist, and the approach to health promotion prevention. Current Health Status of Black or African American The health status of a group are measured by the life expectancy, infant mortality, mental health, causes of death and mortality, and psychological well-being of an individual. African Americans are currently the largest minority group in the U.S. Unfortunately, almost a third of them live below poverty level with great a great number of them unemployed. African Americans are likely to live an average of 5 years less than the whites. While white women have an average longer lifespan of 80.3 years, African Americans men have the shortest lifespan of 68.8 years (Roth, Lowenthal Rubio, 2005). In addition, African Americans have the highest rates of mortality and are twice likely as whites' infants to die at their early ages. African Americans have the highest death rates that hold true for both men and women. The death rate from HIV related diseases have been found to be ten times greater for the African Americans than whites. Moreover, studies on mental disorders and psychological wel l-being among race and ethnic groups has revealed that African Americans have lower rates of disorders and psychiatric (In Huff, In Kline, In Peterson Green, 2015). Barriers to Health and Influencing Factors The above disparities in health, medical care, and psychological well-being and wide range of these interrelated factors are link to factors such as behaviours, community environment, socio-economic status, and practices in the institutions that affect the personal health status of an individual, residential segregation as well as racialized perceptions among others. Studies have shown that African Americans are less likely to engage in preventive health measures related to diet, smoking, use of the screening tests, and exercise as compared to the real Americans or whites. Cultural practices like race and ethnicity are linked to their low engagement in preventive measures. Emotions and attitudes such as shame and stigma have been found to be reducing the likeliness of successful treatment among the African Americans. Studies have shown that African Americans men who are gay and are HIV positive are less likely and less willing to seek early medical care and treatment than whites due to their socially stigmatized problems (United States, 2008). African Americans mostly take part in risk taking behaviours than whites ending up in more homicides and accidents. In addition, socioeconomic factors also influences the disparity in poor health and medical care among the African Americans as compared to white Americans. Mortality and unequal life expectancy reflects ethnic and racial disparities in poverty, wealth, education as well as incomes. Studies have shown that when there's controlled sanitation, better housing, convenience medical care, and controlled environmental pollution among African Americans then there would be decline in disparity in mental illness, mortality and death rates. African Americans are less insured compared to white Americans. There's a strong evidence that health insurance increases the access to quality medical care and that individuals with good medical insurance are most likely to be heathier than those with no medical insurance. Moreover, studies have shown that wealth, household income good educational levels, employment, and availability of health insurance are all linked to better health care that are mostly associated with white Americans and not African Americans (Bhopal, 2007). Moreover, studies have found that extreme level of residential segregation of the African Americans in the suburban and central city neighbourhood to the adverse poor health conditions due to lack of proper education and incomes leads to heart diseases, diabetes, hypertension, low birth weight infants which may have health effects in the entire life of the infants, and hypertension. She has lots of friends, does well in school, has a wonderful family life, and is as happy as any little girl could want to be. Slowly, throughout the book, things start to get worse. She starts out talking about her grades and how happy she had been with school, and how the biggest of her worries is that she is sick on her birthday. Then she moves on to talk about the war in Dunbrovnik and how she is praying for them. Slowly, the war starts to move to Sarajevo. The book goes from, "I am tired, but happy," to, "My life is one of no electricity, no water, no gas, no school which isn't school, rice, macaroni, a bit of green beans from Meleca's garden, the occasional sweets, my piano, and of course you, Mimmy." I really enjoyed the begining of the book, but I felt that after awhile it was the same thing over, and over again. For example, June 23, "The electricity went out at eight o'clock last night." July 7, "There was no water yesterday, or the day befor, or the day befor that."She goes on to say the same thing repetitivly only days later and throughout the whole book. I think the book would have been better for younger kids. I think kids that were more around Zlata's age could have related to her better. I was also dissapointed about the emotion she had, To explain that she was sad she would simply say, "Boo-Hoo." Her friends would die ir her family members would leave and that was the only emotion she would express. She didn't really write how she felt in a way we could relate to. I think, if she would have had more emotion, and also not so much repetitive writing, we could have understood her better and I believe I would have enjoyed the book more.

But then the need to tell the world important truths took its toll on the artists again†¦ Trying to regard â€Å"the flux of sensation in its totality†, as Holt brilliantly noted, they created the world of their own, the world that mirrored the reality. In his creation Bathers at La Grenouillà ¨re, the artist also followed the famous representation style, with help of which he created most of his pieces. Lik e the rest of his pictures, this creation also featured the famous plein-air technique and followed the principles of the representation style. This is the right time to start talking about the formal theories of impression ism. It cannot be denied that the pictures that followed Monet’s innovation in the world of art were mainly inspired by the great author of the Water-Lily Pond. However, there are no doubts that the main source of the painter’s inspiration came from their observations of the world, their meditations and their philosophical approach to understand the nature of a human being and the place the latter takes in the great circle of life. However, it would be erroneous to speak of formal theories as of something that fit impressionists’ ideas impeccably once applied. It would be better to suggest that the formal approach was to be tailored to the ideas of impressionism. Since the latter presupposed the denial of any norms at all, the formal approach could not be applied to the paintings strictly. As Lanier noted, Although there are similarities in their [impressionists’] art, these artists had no â€Å"formal theory† and â€Å"abandoned any fixed program .† They diminished the importance of subject matte, denied the importance of genre and subjected everything to the stamp of their own personalities and sensibilities. Therefore, it can be suggested that the impressionism paintings helped the society get ready for certain changes in the vision of the world and the world philosophy. Since such transition could turn rather painful and ever impossible without any links to the previous experience, impressionism served as a bridge between the old and the new. Considering the paintings from the sociocultural point of view, one has to admit that the authors of the pictures were trying to communicate their opinion concerning the most impo rtant vents in the social life of the then epoch. With help of their attempts, the paintings opened a door to the world where people could face their most secret ideas and feelings and realise that these are integral parts of themselves. Every single picture created in the period when impressionism reigned spoke of the floating world, the time of changes, the instability and the attempts to relate a man to the nature. As Frank himself explains, the expressive theory of impressionism is one of the means to approach the mysterious pictures of impressionists, filled with the meaning that only the authors could see distinctly: â€Å"All art works are made by people. The skill level, persona; intent, mental state, gender, or mindset of the creator must play a role in the creative process† (Frank 96). Glancing at the creations of impressionists, one can understand that the ideas of the world as chaos were only beginning to appear in their creations, whereas most of the pictures con veyed the idea of beauty in the natural and the irrational, the blurred vision of the world. With help of the new artistic tendency, people have managed to experience an escape to an artistic Wonderland, which they must thank impressionists for.
